Disability Background

I was 43 years old when this started (I am 47 now), I was working for a company in Pittsburg Kansas. I painted parts with an air forced paint gun. I was having trouble breathing. I was sent to the Company Doctor. I was given a breathing test, I failed, the First breathing test I took at the beginning of my employment I passed, I was also given a stress test because of a bad EKG, I was recommended to a Cardiologist & Pulmonologist

The Pulmonologist was a joke, (He was Fired for telling oxygen patients they did not need oxygen) at the time I smoked about a pack a day. The Doctor Had a list of all the chemicals I had been exposed to, I had been exposed to cleaning chemicals, plus no masks were required, the doctor said it was smoking that’s all. So within a week I had stopped smoking, I have x-rays that show my diagram is flat and has dark shadows, my new Pulmonologist says I have COPD and chemical damage to my lungs. (Not from Smoking)

I was also sent to a Cardiologist, that had a concern about my stress test, my blood pressure was up and there was a bad EKG. I had an angioplasty that showed a weakness on the left side of my heart. My cardiologist has reviewed all of my tests and says that the weakness is a direct result of the damage to my lungs.

I have been battling to get my Workmen’s Comp plus I have filed for disability and any other help my wife and I can get.

Through all of the court dates we still have no settlements and we have lost everything. My wife has been ill for some time and is also not working.

I have S/P myocardial infarction, CAD, CHF, COPD, hypertension, diplopia S/P strabismus surgery on left eye, cognitive disorder, depressive disorder (dysthymia) and Anxiety disorder.
